OJI-RIVER AND THE GALE OF PROTESTS.

Just last Monday, June 17, The Staff and Students of Oji-River Urban Secondary School took their Protest to the Council Secretariat in Oji.

Now, one Royal Fashion is being used to mobilize for support for another Protest by Monday,June 24.

We don't know who will protest next and what there demand(s) will be.

But it is also pertinent that we find out why these series of protests are staged at this point in time.

Of course, the LG Chairmanship/Councillorship Election is fast approaching and we can not pretend that these protests have no Political undertone.

My careful observation has revealed that some people who are not happy with the Government are masterminding these protests.

So it is a Case of the Hand of Esau but the Voice of Jacob.

Why resort to Protest when we can always approach our LG Chairman directly and table our demands to him?

I believe Oji-River is fortunate to have a listening Chairman.

But those who make gains from these protests think otherwise.

Who are these set of people who want to set the Political Calendar of Oji-River back?

My findings also reveal three Groups of People who can be rightly described as the Hegemony.

1. Those who failed to get the money they wanted to collect from      the LG Chairman.

2. Those who want to replace the LG Chairman.

3. Those who want to install the next LG Chairman.

So these protests have the Hand of Esau but the Voice of Jacob.

I call on Ndi Oji to be Vigilant.
