May I use this medium to call on Traditional Rulers in Oji Oji River to look into this current Problem called Uré-Okpa and the one they call Pin

My cousin (name withheld) who lives in the village is currently suffering from Uré Okpa . It happened not too far from my house. Same story of something itching him, next morning the spot changed color, before you know it, the leg began to rotten. I can't post the picture here, u can  visit me to have a look.

Uré Okpa killed a popular woman who has a drinking Joint at Umuoka.

People attach Pin to their clothes when they go to certain areas like Isikwe as a prevention from been affected by the spiritual Pin.

I am about taken my niece and her friend to a place in Akwu right now because they were affected with Pin when they visited a particular area in Isikwe two nights ago.

My cousins wife who visited from Lagos sometime ago, was affected, her leg was eventually cut off because of the decay.

Who are those behind this devilish act?.

Biko ihé lé wu ndu Igwé ka oduoru.

This is a traditional spiritual issue. Those involved in this wicked diabolical spiritual attack should be fished out.

Brethren, this information requires urgent attention that won’t just end in the WhatsApp forum. 

Because of the death of distance, WhatsApp forum is gradually replacing nzukõ ummuna/umunne. Let’s always use that advantage to help one another.

For the uneducated mind, what you described as ‘ure õkpa’ may seem like a spiritual onslaught. But for those of us in the medical field the condition could be:

1. Foot ulceration due to complications of T2DM, or PVD.

2. Cellulites due to infection/inflammation. Or

3. A foot/leg disease of idiopathic origin.

Without boring you with medical terminologies/diagnoses, such conditions require aggressive treatment. And I’m sure our local government doesn’t have an adequately equipped hospital to handle such cases.

I therefore move that our political leaders at both local and state levels be notified of this ugly condition to ensure that the patients are provided with options and resources for their treatment. 

We can start with the department of health in the local government getting involved in educating the patients on the possible causes, signs/symptoms, treatment options, and management of complications. And when necessary, referrals can be made to specialists for better care.

Even if one thinks that the cause is spiritual, it doesn’t matter because whenever the normal function of our body system is altered (physically, psychologically, spiritually or chemically), the result is that someone is sick or not feeling well. 

Therefore getting well or healing requires the ability to restore homeostasis. And medical (empirical) science using the processes of assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, outcome/evaluation, is the best and proven way to restore homeostasis in our body system.

When we get more information on ‘pin’, we shall also address that here.
