HON HARRISON OKEKE REITERATES HIS AVOWED COMMITMENT TO GOV IFEANYI UGWUANYI'S ONE COMMUNITY ONE PROJECT INITIATIVE, PLEDGES GOVT CONTINUOUS SUPPORT FOR OJI-RIVER AMALGAMATED COUNCIL OF PRESIDENTS-GENERAL.
The Executive Chairman of Oji-River LGA -Hon Harrison Okeke stated this today, Thursday, June 6 while interacting in a meeting with the members of Oji-River Amalgamated Council of PGs at the Council Secretariat in Oji-River.
Represented by his Deputy -Hon Ezenwa Chukwudi, the Chairman briefed the PGs on the situation in Egwu Achi and assured that the Government was taking every necessary step to restore Peace in the troubled Community.
Hon Harrison Okeke reminded the PGs that the tenure of one Okey Onwuka from Egwu Achi Autonomous Community had expired and therefore warned that the said Onwuka was no longer qualified to attend the meeting of the PGs.
The Chairman also warned against the danger of some persons parading themselves as PGs even when their tenures had expired.
Hon Harrison Okeke promised to conduct Election in Ubaha Autonomous Community in Awlaw to elect a new Traditional Ruler for the Community.
The Chairman called for Elections into the offices of PGs whose tenures have expired to elect new PGs.
Hon Harrison Okeke asked the PGs to submit to his office the Constitution of their various Autonomous Communities even as he maintained that the Oji-River Amalgamated Council of PGs will be reconstituted and restructured in no distant time.
Responding, the Secretary of the PGs,Mr Chris Offiah thanked the Chairman for finding time from his tight schedule to attend the meeting and also promised the continued support, partnership and collaboration of the Oji-River Amalgamated Council of PGs for the Hon Harrison Okeke-led People-oriented Leadership and Purposeful Administration.
