The Thursday,May 30 meeting followed an earlier Friday,May 24 Directive to the Miyeti Allah Group by the Executive Chairman of Oji-River LGA -Hon Harrison Okeke who was worried by the sad news of the destruction of food crops in the various Farmlands in Umulobeopu-Obune Hamlet by some rampaging Fulani Cattle.
Alh Gidado Sadiq led three other members of the Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders' Association Executive to the meeting in Company of the Senior Special Assistant (MEDIA) to the Executive Chairman of Oji-River LGA -H.C. Nnebe and the Oji-River DSS Director -Mr Kelvin Ugochukwu.
Earlier on their way to Obune, the team made a brief Stop-over at the Royal Palace of the traditional ruler of Agbada Inyi autonomous community where they paid homage to HRH,Igwe Ignatius Okpara where they also informed the Royal Father of their mission to Obune.

Receiving the team in his palace, HRH,Igwe Ignatius Okpara made it clear to Alh Sadiq and his team that Agbada Inyi autonomous community was not opposed to cattle grazing but was also quick to add that it was worrisome to become inundated with the series of reports of the cows destroying food crops in the Farmlands.
Igwe Okpara recalled how Obune women had staged a protest to his palace against the rampaging cattle in October 2018.
The Royal Father who assured Alh Gidado Sadiq and his group of their safety in the Community enjoined them to engage the people of Obune in a fruitful deliberation.
On arrival in Umulobeopu-Obune, the team was received in the *Obuchukwu Hall* by some selected Representatives of the Hamlet led by *Mr Anthony Igwe* and *Mr Justice Ezeajaa*.
Addressing the members of Umulobeopu-Obune Hamlet,Alh Gidado Sadiq maintained that the team had come in Peace and would continue to sue for this Peace in the matter.
Alh Sadiq regretted the loss suffered by the farmers but promised to proffer a lasting solution to the ugly situation.
*Alh Gidado Sadiq and his group suggested the setting up of a Joint-committee made up of the Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders' Association task force and some selected members of Umulobeopu-Obune to monitor the activities of the Herdsmen in the Hamlet*.
But his suggestion was rejected by the Hamlet who spoke through Mr Anthony Igwe and Mr Justice Ezeajaa who maintained that all Umulobeopu wanted was to save their crops and nothing more.
The Hamlet insisted that the Herdsmen should vacate their farmlands with their cows.
It was a High Tension-soaked meeting which forced H.C. Nnebe and the DSS Director -Mr Kelvin Ugochukwu to intervene in a number of occasions to save the situation.
However, the meeting ended in a Deadlock as the both parties couldn't arrive at a common resolution.
The two parties will be meeting again next week to review their positions in the matter.
